Difference between inner scaffold and outer scaffold

Jun 09, 2022

The difference between inner scaffold and outer scaffold lies in different erection positions, different characteristics, different structural forms and different application ranges.

1. Different erection positions

The inner scaffold is erected inside the building. After each layer of wall is built, it is transferred to the upper floor for a new layer of masonry.

The external scaffold shall be erected outside the building.

2. Different characteristics

The inner scaffold uses less materials, but is frequently installed and disassembled, so it is required to be light and flexible, and easy to install and disassemble.

The load variation of the external scaffold is large, and the binding variation of the connection point with the wall to the scaffold is large.

3. Different structural forms

There are many kinds of scaffold structures, such as folding, pillar, gantry and so on.

External scaffolds include floor type external scaffolds, hanging scaffolds, cantilever scaffolds, hanging scaffolds, etc.

4. Different application ranges

Inner scaffold is mostly used for internal and external wall masonry and interior decoration construction.

External scaffolds are mostly used for exterior wall masonry, facade decoration and reinforced concrete engineering.
