How to distinguish the quality of aluminum profiles

Five ways to quickly distinguish surface quality defects of aluminum profile blanks

1. Tactile touch: use your hand to touch the surface of the substrate, or use the lines that can be scratched by your fingernails, and the concave and convex bones that can be felt to distinguish whether there is a significant tactile feeling. It is applicable to the judgment of various surface solutions.

2. scratch of signing pen: during the whole process of aluminum-plastic aluminum profile extrusion, the signing pen is selected to scratch on the surface of aluminum profile. Whether there are coarse lines can be distinguished by the touch and the continuity of the scratch of the signing pen. The marking and grooving are applicable to the surface judgment of air oxidizer

3. spraying experiment: during the first inspection and sampling, paint the substrate surface with painting equipment to simulate the actual effect of painting. After the surface is dry for 1-2min, observe and identify whether there are defects such as lines, concave bones and convex bones. It is applicable to the surface judgment of spraying latex paint.

4. acid treatment experiment: during the first inspection and sampling, take 300mm sample section from the third rod and soak it in the mold pot for 30-40 seconds (Note: the concentration value of caustic soda solution and the tank temperature. If the concentration value and the tank temperature are too low, the soaking time shall be appropriately increased, generally not more than 60 seconds). According to the surface of the base material after acid treatment, you can see whether there are color matching, scribing, mold shell welding lines and other defects. Applicable to air oxidizer specified for high surface. In addition to the above four common methods, there is also one method below for your reference.

5. surface grinding and polishing: during the first inspection and sampling, take 300mm sample section and use industrial white cloth to grind and polish the substrate surface horizontally. After grinding, very small defects can be easily observed on the substrate surface. It is used to distinguish concave bones, convex bones and surface defects that are not easy to distinguish in the above four ways, such as fine lines (which are not easy to be pulled by fingernails). It is applicable to the surface judgment of spraying emulsion paint, air oxidizer and fluorocarbon coating.
