Do You Know The Selection And Application Of Aluminum Alloy Formwork Release Agent?
Mar 31, 2023
The release agent can avoid the bonding of concrete and formwork appearance and extend the service life of the formwork, but the use of the proper type of release agent can help maintain the aluminum alloy formwork. The correct selection of high-quality release agent can reduce the color difference, pollution, and pores of concrete and improve the durability of concrete surface. In order to prevent the formwork from bonding with the concrete, enough release agent should be used, but the amount should not be too much, otherwise the release agent will flow to the low recess of the appearance of aluminum alloy formwork, delaying the hydration of cement, and stains will also occur. The quality release agent is easy to apply evenly within the specified cover thickness, which is beneficial to extend the life of the template.

Matters needing attention in the use of release agent
Before use, please try to ensure that there is no obvious water, floating soil, oil stains, and rust on the surface of the aluminum alloy formwork, and remove the formwork in time. Pay attention to uniformity and consistency in painting, no leakage of brush phenomenon, the general film thickness of 30 - 50UM. In the process of painting, if the release agent is accidentally damaged before the film is formed, please repaint it in time, otherwise the release effect will be affected.
When using the release agent, try to avoid heavy rain and severe cold. If the heavy rain comes suddenly, you should cover the aluminum alloy formwork with rain gear. The release agent has certain lubricity, so you should be careful when constructing and prevent falling down. The diluted and prepared release agent should be used up in time, and the unsealed release agent and the unused release agent should be covered with a sealing cover to avoid contamination and affect the use effect.
The release agent is to prevent the surface of the concrete and the aluminum alloy formwork from bonding. If the surface of the formwork and the concrete are bonded to each other when the formwork is removed, the formwork is easy to be damaged. If the strength of the concrete is weaker than that of the formwork, part of the surface layer of the concrete will come off and stick to the formwork. If the strength of the concrete is stronger than that of the formwork, part of the formwork surface may be pulled off and stuck to the concrete
